Marian de la Fuente


Admired by viewers from Latin America and United States, Marian de la Fuente was the main news anchors and Managing Editor of Telemundo Internacional, as well as the newscasts “Noticiero Internacional,” the actuality and interviews magazine “Hoy en América” and Telemundo Network´s morning news show “Hoy en el mundo”.

With more than 12 years of experience, this talented journalist was recently named as one of the 25 Bellezas of People en Español magazine. Throughout her career, she has interviewed prominent leaders and personalities from Latin America and Europe in addition to covering important world events including the war against Iraq, the Persian Gulf and Bosnia as well as the 9/11 attacks.

Marian was considered one of Telemundo´s main anchors on special news coverage, events and programs over the years.

Her career began during her first college years working on “Entre Hoy y Mañana,” Spain’s news program airing on Telecinco Network. A year later, she joined Antena 3 Televisión’s news team, where she became a well-known anchor and an investigative and special events reporter. She also covered international crime, drug trafficking and terrorism.

In 1994, she began her career in the United States as part of the group of news anchors of TeleNoticias of Antena 3 Televisión. When the network was acquired by CBS, Marian became part of the news anchor team of the CBS TeleNoticias until December 2005 when Telemundo, actual owner of the network, decided to finish the operation after 12 years on the air in 27 countries including the States.

She has been the recipient of numerous awards for her journalism work, including the prestigious Emy and one nomination, The INTE award as the best international female news anchor after she was two times finalist….The Unites States Chamber of Commerce top young executive award, The Latin Business Club of America as Female Television personality of the 2005…Venezuela’s Musa de Oro award in three consecutive times, Puerto Rico’s Paoli Award, ACA and Gaspar Pumarejo Awards, both in Miami, and Círculo Ahumada and TP de Oro Awards, in Spain. Recently she was awarded in EEUU with an honorary degree of DOCTOR HONORIS CAUSA by the prestigious St. Thomas University of Florida.

Involved in social causes, Marian was the U.S. spokeperson for Interlife, a worldwide non profit organization whose mission is to sponsor and provide food, health services and education to underprivileged children.

Marian is currently the author of “ El Gigante de los pies de barro” a book that chronicles her experience on the 9/11 tragedy and its consequences. She is also part of “Un dia sin Inmigrantes”, and she is currently writing ¨Los fantasmas de Afganistan” as a result of a documentary in Afganistan about the real situation experienced by thousand of Afghan Women.

William Edwards


Born in Heidelberg, Germany and raised in Miami, Edwards has truly captured the essence of the diversity of music. At an early age, Edwards displayed the enduring attributes of an entrepreneur, artist and philanthropist. As a composer and producer, Edwards has successfully established and directed his own audio facility, Sprockets Music. The stunning new facility boasts three-stories of cutting edge design and technology.

In the last fifteen years, Edwards has built an accomplished and decorated resume in creating musical pieces for records, television and film. His work has been featured in many highly noted projects and his talent continues to be in great demand.

Among his many achievements, Will is especially proud of his involvement in 11 Gold and 3 Platinum albums, a Grammy Award winning record “This Side of Paradise,” and Emmy Award winning HBO movie - “For Love or Country.” Additionally Will, along with Desmond Child, produced the three-time Grammy nominated album “Lipstick”.

Will has written and produced original music for over 150 feature films and television shows including Showtime’s Dexter, HBO’s The Sopranos, Discovery Channel and Disney.

Edwards is a voting member of NARAS and serves on its technical committee as well as one of the founding members of LARAS- the highly successful Latin American arm of the Grammy’s. Will is also the president and partner of InTune Monthly, a music magazine for students. The publication has national distribution of 150,000 readers. InTune has become the leading music magazine for students InTune is sponsored by, BMI, ASCAP, NARAS, VH-1 Save the Music as well as the US Congress.

Edwards has generously donated over $120,000 worth of studio and production equipment to various South Florida high schools and community colleges. He is also regularly asked to speak publicly at various events and other educational institutions, which include “Grammy in the Schools” among others. Edwards also holds several US design patents.

The Academy

Professor of public finance since 1984 at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Venice, Cà Foscari, he has also been covering at this University, since 1994, the first Italian chair of art and cultural economics.
Formerly professor at the University LUISS in Rome, between 1981 and 1991, and research fellow at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, visiting professor at several foreign establishment including the New York University and the George Mason University, in Fairfax, Washington D.C..

The professional experience

Since 1970, he has been acting as a financial and economic advisor of a large number of Italian and foreign corporations, including, during the Nineties: Bell South International and Snam, Ericsson, Teleco, Olivetti, and, formerly, among others: ENI (oil and gas), Finsider (steel), Breda (railroad materials), Alluminio Italia (metallurgy), Stet (telecommunications).
He also served as CEO and Vice-Chairman of Sip (the National Italian Telecom) during the Eighties, and as a Chairman of Hermes, the National consortium for the fibre optical networking of the Italian telecommunications established by Italtel, Sirti, Alcatel, Ericsson, and others during the Nineties. In this period he also chaired the telecom company in the Olivetti Group, Olinet.
On the side of public administration he was an advisor to a number of Italian Ministries and other bodies, like the Ministry of the Environment and that for Telecommunications in the Nineties, and, formerly, the Ministries for Budget, for the State Industries, for the Regions, besides several regional and local authorities. He has also been specifically acting as a public officer, serving as counsellor for culture of the city of Venice from 1993 to 1997, and as Vice-Chairman of the Biennale di Venezia from 1993 to 2001. He was also a member of the Board of the Fondazione per la Cassa di Risparmio di Venezia.
He has been an associate with Vitale & Borghesi and lately with Banca Leonardo; then, since 2000, he served as CEO for the Corporate Finance at Gallo & Co., Meliorbanca Group, until 2002. As a merchant banker he also acted as Chairman of Udinese Calcio, an Italian A League soccer team, in order to reorganize the management of the company in the period between 1999 and 2000.
Since 2003 he is the majority shareholder and serves as Chairman and President of Estcapital - SGR S.p.A., an Italian investment banking and fund management company (real estate and private equity funds).

George McNeilly

Some might say George McNeilly’s career has come full-circle – returning to his motor sports roots – overseeing strategic communications for ESPN’s NASCAR, IndyCar, Champ Car and NHRA multi-platform businesses.

Based at Walt Disney World, McNeilly manages an award-winning team which is also responsible for ESPN Regional Television and BASS, the world’s largest fishing organization – acquired by ESPN in 2001.

Prior to joining BASS in 1999, he had rewarding career as a sportscaster for the NBC and CBS Radio Networks, covering 20 Daytona 500’s, 12 Super Bowls, two World Series, heavyweight championship boxing, the NCAA Men’s Final Four, grand slam golf tournaments and the Bassmaster Classic.

McNeilly was doing pit road interviews at Daytona for NBC as a teenager, and in 1988 was chosen to travel to Seoul, South Korea to cover the first of four Olympics, specializing in swimming. He also has served as a consultant for nine PGA, LPGA and Champions Tour title sponsors and has contributed to national public relations efforts ranging from justice department rulings to the grand opening of General Motors’ Chevrolet Corvette plant and museum in Kentucky.

Early in his career, McNeilly was a member of teams which earned both the Edward R. Murrow Award from the Radio-Television News Directors Association (WDBO News Radio 580 in Orlando) and a Gold Medal from the International Radio Festival of New York (1988 Summer Olympics on NBC).

For a two-year period beginning in 1997, he wrote, produced and hosted a weekly trackside TV segment for CBS Cable’s Home Team Sports, featuring one-on-one interviews with the biggest names in motor sports. The program aired in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia and was recognized for Best Television Reporting by the American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters Association.

In 2006, McNeilly completed a term as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Southeastern Outdoor Press Association (SEOPA) after serving as President of the 600-member organization. Since 2003, he has served on ESPN’s committee in support of the V Foundation for Cancer Research. He is a long-time member of both the National Motorsports Press Association and AARWBA.

He was graduated by the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Radio-Television, and in 2005 earned a master’s degree from the Troy University College of Business.

McNeilly is a life member of BASS, an avid angler and golfer.

William Vallenilla


Local Artist William Vallenilla has exhibited his works in numerous venues suchas Ocean Bank, Moose Art Gallery, Korda Gallery, and M3 Gallery. Mr.Vallenilla also works as special events coordinator for programs such as SaveDade Annual Fundraising Halloween Party. He is the owner of two specialtystores in Miami, Urban Garden and Once Upon a Time featured in Latin DiscoveryChannel with Israel Sands. In addition, William has been commissioned byDiscovery Channel to design props and costumes. William was the art andentertainment director for Fire and Ice, a progressive club of the eighties.His eclectic range of artistry includes serving as resident artist for AntaresInterior Design and Furniture and his work as a muralist. Mr. Vallenilla hascollaborated with celebrated artists such as Purvis Young and Carlos Alfonsowith whom he designed and painted the Tropicana Nightclub in the FontainebleauHotel.
